Opened in September 2006 in Manhattan's booming Meatpacking District, Comix has quickly defined itself as the premier comedy club in New York City. Comix is Zagat’s highest rated comedy venue, and was dubbed “one of the top six clubs in the country” by the Hollywood Reporter. Comix was also named the top headliner club in New York City by both GrandLife and Digital City.

Upon entering Comix, make your way into The Copper Room, a chic lounge named for its impressive copper bar. It’s the perfect spot to enjoy after work drinks, tapas or dinner with friends. The Copper Room is also home to the hippest happy hour in the city with $3 draught beer and $5 well drinks from 5:30 PM-7:30 PM Monday through Saturday.

The Comix Theatre is an elegant space with comfortable seating, unobstructed stage views and the purest acoustics.  In addition to featuring the best of cutting edge alternative comedy with everything from improv and sketch comedy to music and variety programming, headlining acts have included The Flight of the Conchords, Aziz Ansari, Roseanne Barr, Craig Ferguson, Janeane Garofalo, JB Smoove and Richard Lewis. Downstairs at Comix is the stylish and cozy Ochi’s Lounge. Everything you love about independent shows produced by some of the MVPs of the comedy scene is in a comfortable space with affordable and delicious food and drinks. Open Monday through Saturday with two performances each night, Ochi’s Lounge presents a variety of free storytelling and stand up shows with a one drink minimum purchase. Past performers in Ochi's Lounge have included David Cross, Jim Gaffigan, Zach Galifianakis, Judah Friedlander, Tom Shillue, Christian Finnegan & other famous faces.
