While many children’s theater troops tell stories to children, The Story Pirates believe that every child has a story to tell. On October 17th, Comix presents Story Pirates, a New York City arts education organization that exists entirely because of kids. This month’s show is extra special, because it will feature Kristen Schaal of Flight of the Conchords and The Daily Show, and the Story Pirates will debut their latest music video opus, Leo’s Favorite Train is the F Train.

The group of professional actors, improv comedians and teaching artists uses stories written by elementary students as source material for outrageous, over-the-top, side-splitting musical plays. Adding songs, props, music videos and puppets, they bring to life on stage what children scribble down on paper.
