In the Spirit of Bill: A Tribute to Bill Hicks

A special Bill Hicks tribute show with guest star Rick Shapiro and more!

Bill Hicks was a groundbreaking, thought provoking comedian who died from pancreatic cancer at the tender age of 32. The New Yorker magazine described him as "A renegade comic genius in a class all his own." Rolling Stone named him "Hot Comic of the Year" and several comedians including Brett Butler, Dennis Miller and Richard Pryor admired his unrelenting passion.

This December, Bill would’ve been 45 years old. To celebrate, COMIX is proud to present In The Spirit of Bill: A Tribute To Bill Hicks. Produced by New York City comedienne Luchia, with the Blessing of the Hicks family, the purpose of the show is to honor Bill’s memory, promote his work and raise money for The Bill Hicks Foundation For Wildlife Rehabilitation. This unique, non-profit organization was set up by Bill’s friends and family to save the lives of the Texas animals he loved so much. It provides aid to animals who are sick, orphaned or injured.

The tribute will include some excellent footage of Bill on stage along with live performances by some of the best comedians in the country including the co-star of HBO’s Lucky Louie Rick Shapiro and special guests.
