Matt McCarthy, born in Providence RI, began performing as the Fordham University mascot. He was a finalist in the NY Underground Comedy Festival 2006 Emerging Comics Contest, featured at Montreal’s Just For Laughs Comedy Festival 2007 and starred in several national on-camera and voice-over commercials. Matt’s role as the regular cable guy on Verizon’s national campaign won him an ECNY Award for Best Performance in a Commercial or Episode of Law & Order. In 2009, he performed his one-man show at the Upright Citizens Brigade in both New York and LA and recorded a solo CD, “Come Clean,” at Comix in NY. He has appeared on Comedy Central’s Live at Gotham and John Oliver’s New York Stand Up Show. He can currently be seen hosting AMC's Action Pack with comedian Nick Stevens or in his viral videos with Front Page Films. Next up, you can catch him in the upcoming Will Ferrell-Mark Wahlberg film “The Other Guys.”
